Since 1981, East Wind Nut Butters have been made by a worker-owned cooperative located in the lovely Ozark hills of rural southern Missouri.East Wind operate democratically and hold our land, labor and other resources in common. As equal partners in our business, we take pride in producing the highest quality products available at the most reasonable price. For maximum freshness, nuts, seeds and East Wind nut butters at our warehouse are always stored under refrigeration. Because artificially hydrogenated oils are not used in natural nut butters, oil separation does occur; refrigeration slows this process. At home, you can refrigerate your nut butter, store upside down, or just stir before use.
