Mr. Andre Prost was born in New York City in 1884 to French parents. After graduating from high school he went to work for Cuisinier, a French producer of after dinner liqueurs, and by 1916 had worked this way up to a salesman position. When the First World War began, concern for his parents’ homeland made him volunteer to serve in the Red Cross Ambulance Corps as a stretcher carrier/ambulance driver in France.
